LeBron James may be on a different team as he goes into his third year with the Los Angeles Lakers, but the Akron native will always have ties to his former teammates from his time with the Cleveland Cavaliers. Such was apparent after James made sure to give Kevin Love a soothing gift to start the 2021 year off right.

Love took to his Instagram to thank both the Lakers star and Klutch Sports founder Rich Paul for the Lobos 1707 Tequila, which came in bold fashion:

The bottle seems to even have Love's name engraved on it, which would signify that James and Paul went through a decent amount of work to have it custom made for Love.

James, along with Paul and a few other NBA players, put in a major investment to the Lobos 1707 brand. The drink normally goes for $49-54 at select retailers.

While there was once speculated rumors that the two stars didn't get along during their time together with the Cavs, that drama has been put to bed in times since. Love still remains a formidable star with the Cavs as he continues to try and lead a predominantly young squad in hopes of making it to the playoffs. He hasn't been available for the start of the season so far however due to a calf strain.

As for James, he and Anthony Davis–another investor in Lobos 1707–are continuing their climb of dominance in the Western Conference. If fate rules in their favor, the star duo will be competing for their second Lakers championship together at the season's end.
