Los Angeles Lakers superstar small forward LeBron James says NBA legend Jerry West would easily average at least 24 points and eight assists per game if he was playing in today's NBA.

Jerry West spent his entire NBA career with the Lakers, finishing with averages of 27.0 points, 5.8 rebounds and 6.7 assists. He made the All-Star team all 14 years he was in the NBA.

The Logo had four seasons in which he averaged 30 points per game, an impressive feat considering he was playing in an era without the 3-point line. The Lakers legend is the only player in NBA history to win Finals MVP despite his team losing.

West won the 1969 Finals MVP Award even though the Lakers lost to the Boston Celtics. He averaged 37.9 points and 7.4 assists. West's lone championship with the Lakers came in 1972 when the Purple and Gold defeated the New York Knicks.

Mr. Clutch was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1980. He currently works for the Los Angeles Clippers.

LeBron James and the current version of the Lakers had the best record in the Western Conference standings before the season was suspended due to COVID-19. Los Angeles was 49-14 and James was playing at an MVP level.

The King was averaging 25.7 points, 7.9 rebounds and 10.6 assists.

NBA owners are hopeful of resuming the season in the summer. Laker fans are praying that happens since LeBron and Anthony Davis had the Lakers in prime position to win a championship this year.
