LeBron James has completely bought into the game plan as the Los Angeles Lakers' starting center. While King James is willing to do most duties asked of him at the five, not included on the list is winning the opening tip.

The Lakers star was matched up against Sacramento Kings center Damian Jones, a legit 7-footer with excellent leaping ability. Sensing the futility of actually trying to win the tip, LeBron James instead put forth potentially the worst jump ball effort in NBA history.

While there may possibly be some lesser efforts in the past, it's highly unlikely. Even in this era of small ball, most NBA rosters still start a big man at the five. At the very least, teams have someone out there who can put up a fight.

The Lakers not only had LeBron James at center, but alongside him were fellow veteran small forward Trevor Ariza and three much smaller guards in Malik Monk, Russell Westbrook and Avery Bradley.

But LeBron James knew that at the end of the day, the opening tip doesn't matter. It's how you finish the game that does, which is where he truly flexed his muscles. King James piled on 31 points, including several clutch buckets to pull off the victory, 122-114.
