On Tuesday night, Judge Melody Stewart made history by becoming the first black woman to be elected to the Ohio supreme court. One of the first to congratulate judge Stweart on her impressive victory was Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James, the Ohio native who was overjoyed to see another progressive victory.

LeBron James continues to champion bringing positive change to the United States, shown by his hashtag #ChangeWillCome. The superstar has been outspoken in his support for Democratic politicians and has repeatedly blasted President Donald Trump in a video by UNINTERRUPTED, saying that the president “is someone who doesn't understand the people, and really don't give a f— about the people… It's not even a surprise when he says something. It's like, laughable. It's laughable and it's scary.”

James has also referred to Trump as a “bum” via Twitter when Trump revoked his invite of the Golden State Warriors to the White House after the team won the championship.

LeBron James has taken a lot of flack for his political comments. Pundits have claimed that he should stick to playing basketball and that it is not appropriate to broadcast his political views. The Lakers star has brushed aside these comments and it seems like he will continue to be open to the public about where his support lies.

Regardless of whether or not you agree with LeBron, he has clearly shown that he is not afraid to loudly voice his support whenever he can and stand for what he believes is right.
