On Wednesday night against the visiting Portland Trail Blazers, Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James passed Wilt Chamberlain for fifth place on the NBA's all-time scoring list. James accomplished the feat with a driving floater over Nik Stauskas and a free throw while being fouled on the play.

James finished the game with 44 points, 10 rebounds, nine assists, and three blocked shots on 13-of-19 shooting from the field, including 5-of-6 from beyond the three-point arc, and 13-of-15 from the free throw line.

The NBA's league's official Twitter account posted a creative video of the two Lakers legends in celebration of the feat.

The video tells an amazing story of both players' rise from high school stars to NBA legends, linking the two players' careers even though James and Chamberlain played in two entirely different eras of pro-basketball.

To no one’s surprise, James saw the video on Twitter and reacted to it.

Despite a slow start from the Lakers overall, James has been an unsurprising bright spot for L.A. Entering the top five in most points scored all-time is something he will not forget unless he becomes the all-time leader in points scored.

For now, James is hoping to bring another NBA Championship back to LA, just like Wilt Chamberlain did back in 1972.

He may have passed Chamberlain in career points, but the focus for James now will be to give the Lakers their 17th NBA Championship, which would tie them with the Boston Celtics for most titles in the NBA.
