Pretty much every writer in the world has misspelled Miami Heat guard Dwyane Wade's first name more than once. “Dywane” is usually the form people misspell it as, but whoever is in charge of the jumbotron at American Airlines Arena has no excuse since Wade has basically played his entire career in South Beach. So that's why Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James was in disbelief when it actually happened.

At the Heat's home opener Saturday night, Dwyane Wade addressed the crowd before the game, and his first name was misspelled on the jumbotron. Wade's best friend, LeBron James, couldn't believe it.

This is Dwyane Wade's last season in the NBA. He's played 15 seasons with the Heat. It's mind boggling to think that Miami workers can misspell his first name considering they've probably wrote and typed it over a million times.

Dwyane Wade is the Heat’s career leader in points, assists, steals, and games played. He’s obviously going to get huge cheers at home, but he figures to get a lot of love in road arenas this year as well.

Wade and LeBron James will face off twice this season. Both players were part of the legendary 2003 Draft which also featured Carmelo Anthony and Chris Bosh. Wade, James and Bosh won two championships together with the Heat.
