Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James is reportedly spotted having dinner with New Orleans Pelicans center Anthony Davis at Nobu in Malibu, according to a Reddit user.

In a different tweet, James and Davis were said to be with Russell Westbrook as well.

Davis, who has openly and publicly expressed his desire to get out of The Big Easy, has been a trade target of the Lakers for some time now. The Purple and Gold tried to acquire him from the Pelicans during the February trade deadline, but the New Orleans organization decided to hold onto him and assess their options this summer.

Pelicans Executive Vice President David Griffin has been adamant on convincing Davis to stay in New Orleans, though Davis' stance of wanting to be traded has reportedly not changed.

Of course, having a dinner with co-players is not prohibited and is not entirely uncommon. Besides, the two players share the same agent in Rich Paul of Klutch Sports. However, with the Davis-Lakers rumors, it's hard not to think about the possible discussions the two had.

Not to mention that James himself has previously said that he will help the Lakers in their recruitment this summer in order to bolster the team.

It's only a matter of time before the free agency dominoes fall into place. Whether Davis becomes a Laker or not remains to be seen.
