Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James says head coach Luke Walton has pretty much been the only thing which has been consistent this season in Los Angeles.

The Lakers have been riddled with injuries all season. James, Lonzo Ball and Rajon Rondo have all missed extended time, while Kyle Kuzma and Brandon Ingram have dealt with minor injuries that have costed them a few games here and there.

Luke Walton is on the hot seat in Los Angeles. While these comments from LeBron James are nice, it's not going to change Walton's job status with the Lakers, especially if the team doesn't go on some magical run to close out the season and make the playoffs.

The Lakers enter their Wednesday matchup at home against the Denver Nuggets with a record of 30-34. They sit in the 11th spot in the Western Conference standings.

Anytime LeBron James is on your team, the head coach is always going to garner criticism, warranted or not. David Blatt took the Cleveland Cavaliers to the NBA Finals in 2015 in his first year as coach, but was fired in the middle of the 2016-17 season.

If the squad is not living up to expectations or James is privately expressing doubt, the coach is likely going to lose his job. Walton could come back next season. If the Lakers have a better roster, the Purple and Gold could be contenders.
