The Los Angeles Lakers have one roster spot available and many fans want the team to sign Pau Gasol so he can play with his brother, Marc Gasol, and LeBron James as well.

James recently appeared on the Road Trippin' podcast with Richard Jefferson and Allie Clifton and he was asked if the Lakers are going to sign Pau. In classic LeBron fashion, the four-time MVP teased Laker Nation (the segment is at 14 seconds).

Pau Gasol won two titles with Kobe Bryant and the Lakers in 2009 and 2010. Just last week, the future Hall of Famer posted a video on Twitter of him working out, something he never does.

That video by Pau, coupled with the Lakers signing Marc Gasol, has fans thinking LeBron James and Co. have something up their sleeves. It would be pretty cool to see the Gasol brothers play as teammates on the Lakers, one of the most storied franchises in NBA history.

Now 40-years-old, Pau has career averages of 17.0 points, 9.2 rebounds and 3.2 assists with the Memphis Grizzlies, Lakers, Chicago Bulls, San Antonio Spurs and Milwaukee Bucks. He was on the Portland Trail Blazers last season, but he wasn't able to recover from his foot injury and got waived in November.

The Lakers, who won the 2020 title over the Miami Heat in six games for James' fourth title, are going to be the favorite to win the West again next season. While nothing is set in stone, Los Angeles' starting lineup will likely be Dennis Schroder, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, LeBron, Anthony Davis and Marc Gasol.
