Los Angeles Lakers point guard Lonzo Ball has had a tumultuous week, to say the least. He recently cut ties with his agent and is also coming off a shocker of a discovery involving Allan Foster, his father's old friend and co-founder of his family's Big Baller Brand.

As recent reports reveal, Foster has allegedly been stealing money from Ball. The unraveling forced the Lakers point guard to sever any kind of connection to Foster and even filed a lawsuit against him.

Without an agent by his side, Ball continues his search and he emphasized to the Los Angeles Times, via Tania Ganguli, that he is the one calling the shots in this business affair.

While word is spreading around the agencies that LaVar Ball is driving the search, Lonzo Ball told the Los Angeles Times on Thursday night that he alone will make his business decisions. Asked specifically if his father was involved, Lonzo Ball said no.

A person familiar with the situation said LaVar Ball has not participated in any official discussions about his son’s future business dealings as Lonzo Ball’s team of attorneys and advisors determines how to remove him from the orbit of Alan Foster, a man who they allege stole millions from him and mismanaged his finances.

While Ball scours the field for his next agent, speculations have also been spurred by his series of social media posts that many decipher as a potential move to a big-name shoe brand — Nike in particular.
