LaVar Ball, father of new Los Angeles Lakers rookie Lonzo Ball, is known for his overbearing nature and controversial antics, so it's no secret a lot of people are worried he would continue meddling with his son, even in his career with the Purple and Gold.

Despite this concern, however, Lakers president of basketball operations Magic Johnson is the least bit worried about LaVar. In fact, he welcomes the older Ball with open arms and says the door is always open for him, according to Marc J. Spears of The Undefeated.

These comments from Johnson, of course, didn't come as a surprise, considering previous reports that the two already had a talk after the Lakers organization selected Lonzo second overall in this year's draft.

It should also be noted that Johnson has never considered there would be an issue with the Big Baller Brand CEO, saying in an interview before the draft that he doesn't deem any parent in a professional league to be a problem.

It remains to be seen if LaVar will continue interfering with his son's professional basketball life, like the way he did with his other children in Chino Hills. Though, Lakers fans will certainly hold their breath and hope Johnson's decision not to monitor the 48-year-old is right.
