Los Angeles Lakers guard Malik Monk just can't catch a break. After he was cleared to fly with the team heading to Dallas, he was sidelined and had to re-enter the COVID-19 health and safety protocols.

Now, Monk is clearly getting frustrated with his situation.

On Twitter, the 23-year-old expressed his disappointment over his return to the COVID-19 protocols as he begs to get out of it. He kept his desire simple: “free me.”

Malik Monk has now missed four straight games since entering due to his latest COVID-19 debacle. It is unknown why he was cleared from the protocols and allowed to fly with the team only to be sidelined once again, but it certainly makes the situation murkier and even more frustrating for the youngster.

The Lakers could really use his help as they deal with the COVID-19 surge that they are facing. Instead, he became part of the problem and couldn't do anything but wait until he can clear the protocols.

Monk is averaging 9.7 points, 2.8 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game this 2021-22. He is shooting 44.7 percent from the field and 36.1 percent from deep. It remains to be seen when he'll be able to return to play, but by the looks of it, Lakers fans have to wait for some more time to watch him in action.
