Los Angeles Lakers forward Montrezl Harrell sprawled face-first on the floor during the fourth quarter of Friday's contest against the Memphis Grizzlies. It is after his own teammate, Kyle Kuzma, accidentally hit him with a wayward elbow that caught him clean right in the temple.

Harrell, of course, is as tough as they come, so he was able to shake off the violent hit. Still, he undoubtedly felt the lingering effects of the collision as he was seen shaking his head in pain.
Trez headed to the locker room briefly but soon returned to the Lakers bench.

The reigning NBA Sixth Man of The Year was instrumental in the Lakers' strong second-half surge to take the lead over the gritty Memphis team.
The NBA, meanwhile, has enforced a stricter concussion protocol over the years following the rise of serious head injuries among professional athletes. The Lakers will likely evaluate Harrell further in the next few days.
Entering Friday's home game, Montrezl Harrell was having a strong start to his first year with the Lakers. The 6-foot-7 bruiser is anchoring the Purple and Gold's second unit, notching 13.5 points, 6.3 rebounds and 1.1 assist per game, all while shooting 64.9 percent from the field and 74.1 percent from the charity stripe.
