Nike will soon be releasing the newest colorway of Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James' latest kicks — the LeBron 16s.

For the second year in a row, LeBron James and Nike have collaborated to release a colorway of the superstar's signature shoe that honors Martin Luther King Day.

It wasn't long ago when the LeBron 15s had the same theme. Those sneakers had the word “Equality” written in gold at the back of each shoe.

The LeBron 16s will feature one sneaker in black and the other in white colorways, as seen in the photo above. The word Equality will be featured in several parts of the shoes, especially in the soles.

The decision to release another MLK version of the LeBrons was because Nike saw the impact and influence its predecessor made. A pair of game-worn LeBron 15 ‘MLK' kicks is actually displayed in the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture.

Multiple sources confirmed that the pair will be released on January 21 and will cost around $185.

While there's still no definite timetable for James' injury recovery he is expected to be re-evaluated this week. In the meantime, this is something that his fans will surely anticipate, aside from his actual return to the court for the Lakers.
