Nike is slated to release Kobe Bryant's new line of kicks, the Kobe A.D. on Aug. 24, a nod to the jerseys worn by the Los Angeles Lakers icon.

The shoe and apparel company released a video 10 days prior to the official release, giving fans a chance to see the inspiration for this year's signature line.

The sneakers will feature the iconic yellow and purple colorways, along with a textured grey, magma red, and aqua blue.

Each of these sneaker colorways come with a slight shift in design, ranging from some of his stats, to accolades, geometric alignments, and even braille text on the back of the grey pair.

Each of the five colorways will have a theme attached to them, in honor of the stages of Bryant's career — including “Honesty,” “Optimism,” and “Detached” — for which Nike provided a description on its website.

“In his endless pursuit of perfection, Kobe knew championships meant more than friendships — a testament to the harsh realities of the Mamba Mentality. Life outside the lines of the court became an afterthought as his obsession for the game reigned supreme. The Kobe A.D. ‘Detached' honors the element of the Mamba Mentality that inspires discipline and focus, and celebrates the idea that friends may come and go, but banners hang forever.”

Bryant's new sneakers are bound to turn heads not only as one of the most popular line of kicks in the market, but also as one with heavily-inspired craftsmanship.
