It's safe to say Pau Gasol enjoyed the Los Angeles Lakers' win over the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday, thanks in large part to Austin Reaves.

Reaves banked the game-winner in overtime–with less than a second left!– to give the Lakers a 107-104  win. It looked like the Purple and Gold were on the verge of losing, especially after squandering an early 10-point lead, but Reaves stepped up just when LeBron James and Co. needed him most to deliver a clutch shot for the ages.

Gasol, who has been supportive of the Lakers even after his retirement, couldn't hold back his reaction to what he called an “unbelievable game.” He was also full of praises for Reaves, adding that he really enjoyed it because of the rookie.

The Lakers really needed that win, and as Pau Gasol said it, their performance was rather remarkable. After all, they showed they don't easily give up when the going gets tough.

Los Angeles improved to 16-13 on the season with the win, climbing to the sixth seed in the Western Conference. They have now won three straight as they slowly ease the concerns of fans about their chemistry issues and early struggles.

It remains to be seen if the Lakers can keep the momentum going, but certainly, they'll have a big supporter in Gasol no matter what happens.
