Through the first two games of the season, Los Angeles Lakers second-year small forward Kyle Kuzma is averaging 13.0 points, but his shooting hasn't been up to his standards.

Kuzma is shooting 35.7 percent from the field and just 16.7 percent from beyond the arc. Despite the struggles from the perimeter, Kuzma says his confidence hasn't waned and that he's still going to shoot when he's wide-open, via ClutchPoints' Ryan Ward:

It's only two games, and Kyle Kuzma is still getting used to playing with star LeBron James and guard Rajon Rondo, the two main ball handlers on the Lakers. So there shouldn't be too much cause for concern here.

During his rookie season last year, Kyle Kuzma averaged 16.1 points, 6.3 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game. The 23-year-old shot 45.0 percent from the field, 36.6 percent from the 3-point line and 70.7 percent from the free-throw line. He was named to the All-Rookie first team as a result of his sound play.

Kyle Kuzma is a hard worker and he will likely put in extra time after practice to work on his jump shot and snap out of this mini shooting funk. The Lakers are going to need Kuzma to provide scoring all season off the bench.
