Former Los Angeles Lakers forward Robert Horry had a powerful and emotional reaction to Jacob Blake's shooting.

Horry said it was tough for him to explain to his kid that black people are “endangered species pretty much.”

This was gut-wrenching to watch, especially when Robert Horry started to tear up.

Jacob Blake, an unarmed African American man, was shot seven times in the back in Wisconsin and is now paralyzed from the waist down. The tragedy has deeply impacted the basketball world since the NBA is mostly made up of Black men.

The Lakers-Portland Trail Blazers game on Wednesday was postponed, or as LeBron James likes to say, “boycotted.” Los Angeles is up 3-1 against the Blazers, and they have to win one more game in the series to advance to the second round.

Most pundits have the Lakers defeating the Blazers since they are on a roll and Blazers superstar point guard Damian Lillard is out with a knee injury.

However, it's unclear if the 2020 playoffs will be completed after the boycotts on Wednesday. This is certainly a situation to track and it's very possible commissioner Adam Silver and Co. will have to cancel the rest of the campaign if players are uncomfortable playing in this social climate.
