Los Angeles Lakers icon Shaquille O'Neal is without a doubt one of the most dominant players that have ever picked up a basketball. The Hall of Fame big man also happens to be one of the most successful ex-player turned entrepreneurs out there. As a matter of fact, hip hop mogul Snoop Dogg recently admitted that this is exactly why he's been “chasing” Shaq's legacy.

Snoop does not dream of becoming one of the greatest centers in NBA history. What he desires is to be as successful as the Lakers legend in terms of his accomplishments in his business ventures:

“I’m chasing Shaquille O’Neal right now,” Snoop said on a recent episode of Jake Paul's Impaulsive podcast (h/t Jonathan Sherman of Lakers Daily).

“Shaq got so many motherf—— commercials and businesses, and this is my friend, and when I say I’m chasing him, that’s for the right reasons. Not nothing negative or hate, it’s just, I’m inspired by him. I love how he took his basketball career, put it on pause, and took his business hand. And you forget he was a basketball player based off of how business-minded he’s became.”

Snoop himself has a handful of businesses outside his rap career, but it does not hold a candle to what Shaq has done during his post-NBA career. The Lakers icon is a pretty big deal in the food franchise industry right now. To date, he reportedly owns 155 Five Guys Burgers branches, 17 Auntie Anne's Pretzels stores, and nine Papa John's restaurants. And this is just a part of his vast business portfolio. No wonder Snoop wants to be like Shaq.
