The Los Angeles Lakers looked like the clear favorites to win it all before the 2020-21 NBA season started. But things didn't exactly go according to plan. Lakers super fan Snoop Dogg has made peace with the result for one big reason.

The world renowned rapper was asked by TMZ about the ongoing NBA Finals between the Milwaukee Bucks and the Phoenix Suns. But Snoop just had to mention his Lakers in there, explaining why he's fine with the title going somewhere else this season.

“I want to see somebody win a championship other than the Lakers, because we just keep winning them and winning them, so.”

You wouldn't expect anything less from Snoop Dogg. The Lakers may have gone through a lengthy rough patch before LeBron James came to the team, but Snoop isn't wrong. The Lakers have won six NBA championships ever since the turn of the millennium, by far the most out of any NBA franchise. Like he says, maybe it's best to give others a chance once more.

When asked about whether he thought Chris Paul and the Suns were going to sweep the Finals, Snoop answered:

“I don't know about sweeping, but I think they may win it. I'm happy for Chris Paul and Booker. And Monty Williams too.”

While his Lakers aren't competing for the title this season, it sounds like Snoop Dogg is doing just fine for now. But hopefully LeBron James and company could give him something to cheer about again next season.
