The biggest news of the NBA offseason has arrived in the form of Kevin Durant wanting out of the Brooklyn Nets. While the Los Angeles Lakers are reportedly out of the running for his services, it does open the door once again for a potential Kyrie Irving trade.

But what would a Kyrie Irving trade package look like? According to The Athletic's Jovan Buha and Sam Amick, the package will be firmly center around Russell Westbrook to make the contracts work, with the Nets likely also including a veteran role player going back the Lakers' way.

Via The Athletic:

The framework of a deal could look something like this: Irving and a second Nets player (Seth Curry, the newly acquired Royce O’Neale or Day’Ron Sharpe) in exchange for Westbrook and the Lakers’ 2027 and 2029 first-round selections.

Another option sans Westbrook would be to involve a third team, centering the deal on Talen Horton-Tucker and Kendrick Nunn to a team that could potentially offset the salaries necessary to get Kyrie to LA

If the Nets don’t want to take on Westbrook’s salary, a third team could enter the mix, with one of the Lakers’ picks and potentially Talen Horton-Tucker and/or Kendrick Nunn being involved.

The Lakers are locked in on LeBron James's former star teammate. In an offseason that's shaping up to be one of the wildest in recent history, anything could potentially happen.
