The LeBron James Triple Logoman Flawless card, which has made headlines in the card collecting industry as of late, has been auctioned off for a record-breaking price.

According to Goldin Auctions, the one-of-a-kind LeBron card sold for $2.4 million–with the winning bid at $2 million and the $400,000 being the buyer's premium. According to the auction house, it is the highest sale ever for a card that is pulled and sold in the same year.

Here's how Goldin described the card, highlighting that it is one of the true Holy Grails of the card collecting market:

The LeBron James Triple Logoman is the undisputed Holy Grail of the 2020-21 Panini Flawless issue, and now, the entire hobby. This completely unique collectible showcases a trio of game-worn/used NBA Logoman logo patches, with each Logoman originating from a jersey worn by James with a different franchise, including one from his time with the Cleveland Cavaliers, one from his Miami Heat tenure, and one from his current team, the Los Angeles Lakers.

For what it's worth, the LeBron James Triple Logoman Flawless card was valued at an estimated $3 million to $5 million. While it fell short of its expected auction sales, it is still a crazy price considering that it's not a rookie card or an autographed one.

LeBron is undoubtedly one of, if not the most popular athlete of his generation. With that said, all memorabilia related to him are only expected to go up in value overtime–much like what happened to the memorabilia related to Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant after their respective retirements.
