Agents and general managers around the NBA reportedly don't like Los Angeles Lakers general manager Rob Pelinka, according to Stephen A. Smith of ESPN.

Smith reports that agents and GM's often don't take Pelinka's calls because they don't want to speak with him.

The Lakers tried to acquire New Orleans Pelicans superstar big man Anthony Davis at the February trade deadline. By all accounts, Los Angeles president of basketball operations Magic Johnson spearheaded the Davis pursuit, but Rob Pelinka was involved as well.

New Orleans reportedly had no interest in doing business with the Lakers, but that's mostly because they didn't want to send Davis to his preferred destination and keep AD in the Western Conference.

The Lakers had a pretty putrid trade deadline this season. The franchise traded forward Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk and a 2021 second-round draft pick to the Detroit Pistons for shooting guard Reggie Bullock. While Bullock is a good shooter, he's been a below average performer since arriving to LA.

Los Angeles also traded veteran Michael Beasley and youngster Ivica Zubac to the LA Clippers for Mike Muscala. Zubac, who played really well for the Lakers, is flourishing with the Clips. Muscala, meanwhile, has been awful with the Purple and Gold.
