LeBron James will have plenty of suitors requesting his services this offseason, but one particular insider believes he has the best chances to land in Los Angeles with the Lakers.

Marc J. Spears of The Undefeated darted his best shots at The King's future destination during an appearance in The Rich Eisen Show.

“If I was a betting man, I'd say the Lakers are the front-runner,” Spears said.

Out of the handful of teams that are considered major contenders for his services (Lakers, Philadelphia 76ers, Boston Celtics, Houston Rockets, and hometown Cleveland Cavaliers) — the Lakers are the only team that wouldn't have to move a lone piece in its roster to sign him to a max free agent contract.

The Celtics and the Rockets would have to make major moves to facilitate a max-level free agent to join this summer, and even the 76ers would have to make a major decision in how to play Ben Simmons with James playing his position.

Most teams aren't worried about a potential fit, but first trying to get his interest and then worrying about the sequential moves to follow.

The Lakers would be in a plug-and-play position, also allowing James to have the first say in which superstar to pair him with and how to build the next of the roster around him.

But the organization has been rumored to delay their plan to a 2019 free agent class, where the likes of Kawhi Leonard, Klay Thompson, and Anthony Davis will become free agents. Given Leonard's reported interest in signing a max extension with the San Antonio Spurs, who knows if that's a plan anymore.
