It seems that whatever LaVar Ball, the father of Los Angeles Lakers rookie Lonzo Ball, does or says these days is something that deserves being satirically mocked. That’s exactly what the guys over at Funny or Die did, as they used Ball’s controversial decision of pulling his son, LaMelo, from Chino Hills High School and home-school the young baller for two years before hitting college as in inspiration for a comedy skit.

The parody was released via The Rich Eisen’s Show, and it was as funny as you’d expect. Erik Griffin of Comedy Central’s Workaholics plays the role of an enthusiastic pitchman for the “LaVar Ball School for Homeschooling” and breaks down the a wide array of advantages and the many lessons one would learn while enrolled in the said institution like the skills needed to “bloat expectations, gratuitously hype, and most of all, permanently link you and your child athlete.”

Interested? All you need to do is pick up the phone now and order the studying materials all for the cost of “30 difficult payments of $99.99.”

The skit, of course, didn’t finish without it taking a shot at LiAngelo Ball and his recent trouble abroad, as Griffin pointed out the materials can be shipped to customers’ homes “or the Chinese prison your son is being detained for shoplifting.”

Say what you want about LaVar Ball, but he’s doing a fine job of being a crossover mainstream figure today.
