It’s been nearly a week since the Los Angeles Lakers have made official their addition of LeBron James to the team by signing him to a four-year deal – one that’s worth over $154 million or enough money to fund a mini-space program.

However, there has been no news yet of James being welcomed in person by his new teammates. That said, a group gathering is more than likely to happen to welcome James. After all, it’s not every day that a four-time MVP and three-time NBA champion walks through a struggling team’s door.

For Lakers guard Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, he’s already drawing up plans on how the team could make James feel right at home in La La Land. Caldwell-Pope was recently intercepted by TMZ Sports, asking the shooting guard what’s in store for a possible LeBron James welcome party.

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope says he's thinking of ways to welcome LeBron James to the Lakers — and says a dinner with the rest of his teammates is definitely on the table.

Well, that’s not a bad idea at all. It’s a wholesome plan, which James would surely like. But it’s probably not the only thing James should expect. There’s more to the city of Los Angeles than opening food covers, and it’s up to Caldwell-Pope and company to come up with other ideas.

KCP says he's still figuring out plans for LeBron — but one thing's for sure … he won't be playing chef because he can't cook for a damn!
