The Los Angeles Lakers have had quite the tumultuous season, but there are still some elements of “Showtime” in the air. LeBron James and Kyle Kuzma made a pair of ridiculous no-look passes in the team's contest against the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden on Sunday afternoon:

Kuzma continues to blossom as an all-around offensive talent in his second season, increasing his scoring average while posting more assists. Despite the team's internal strife, his relationship and on-court rapport with the likes of James are an inherently positive development this season.

The MVP of the Rising Stars Challenge could still be used as trade bait in an attempt to acquire Pelicans superstar Anthony Davis this summer, but his play has been encouraging nonetheless.

For his part, James has always been regarded as one of the best passers in the history of basketball. James currently ranks in the top 10 of all time in assists, and he should pass legendary point guards Gary Payton and Isiah Thomas on that list next year assuming a full and healthy season.

LeBron is the only player in NBA history with more than 30,000 points, 8,000 rebounds and 8,000 assists. He is also the only player in league history to average better than 27 points, seven boards and seven assists for his career (to date).

The Lakers are currently 17th in scoring despite the excellence of LeBron James and improvements from Kyle Kuzma, mostly because they rank 29th in 3-point shooting in a league that has become more fast-paced and continues to stretch to the perimeter.
