LaVar Ball was at courtside during the Los Angeles Lakers and New York Knicks game on Tuesday. It marked the first time his son, Lonzo, will play inside Madison Square Garden, and he understands how special the night is for the younger Ball, which explains him being seated at a prime position.

The game turned out to be a very competitive one, and the 20-year-old rookie did not disappoint by playing one of his better games so far as a pro. Lonzo Ball's highlights on the night included three 3-pointers, and an alley oop, which brought LaVar to his feet, and was clearly seen having the time of his life while enjoying watching his son play well.

Lonzo Ball finished the match with 17 points, eight rebounds, six assists, two steals, and one block. He even made history on the night by becoming the first player since Lakers president Magic Johnson to record a 15-5-5 game inside MSG.

However, his efforts were not enough to lead the Lakers to victory, as they ultimately lost in overtime, 113-109. If there’s any good news for the Ball family though, Lonzo has bounced back from his shooting struggles of late, and his performance on the night could start a hot-streak for him starting in their next game.
