It has been a wild and entertaining offseason for the NBA as blockbuster trades and free agent signings made it hard for fans to stay off social media. The Ball family, namely Lavar Ball, dominated the news cycle for most of the summer and there are no signs of them slowing down.

Lonzo Ball has made headline after headline since being drafted by the Los Angeles Lakers second overall in the 2017 NBA Draft. However, the release of his own shoe, the ZO2's, arguably made the most commotion among fans and according to the Big Baller Brand Twitter account, it appears his brother LaMelo has the next signature in the family:

The timing of the announcement makes sense from a marketing standpoint after the Ball family premiered their reality show, “Ball in the Family” on Facebook. Still, this is unprecedented news and in line with BBB's purpose of building around the three Ball brothers.

Despite only being a junior in high school, LaMelo is already committed to playing for UCLA and will likely find himself on an NBA roster in a few years. For the time being, however, a high school student having his own signature shoe is impressive and it will be interesting to see what else BBB has up its sleeve.
