After watching the NBA Draft Lottery through a home gathering at their native Chino Hills, the Ball family celebrated as the Phoenix Suns drew the No. 4 overall pick despite having the second-best chances at getting the No. 1 overall selection.

The father, LaVar Ball was particularly ecstatic after the Los Angeles Lakers garnered the No. 2 pick, immediately urging the Boston Celtics to take Washington freshman standout Markelle Fultz with the first overall pick instead of his son, Lonzo.

LaVar was once again his self-glorifying usual self, claiming that his son being a Laker was the plan all along.

“My reaction is what I was always gonna be — right,” said Ball via ESPN. “I told them (Lonzo) was gonna go to the Lakers, I'm speaking it to existence.”

“Boston is gonna take their Markelle Fultz, he is a good player, I think he fits best with Boston. You can't bring him to L.A., he ain't ready for this. Only one person is ready for this, is that Ball boy, No. 2, the deuce is wild.”

When asked if this was his plan from the start, the Ballfather couldn't help but throw even more glitter on his name.

“I've been working on it for a long time, I know I must be a genius to plan it this well,” said Ball. “His number has always been No. 2 and guess where he's going? — No. 2.”
