During his rookie season with the Cavs, James made $4,018,290 after signing a three-year, $12.9 million contract following the draft. LeBron averaged 20.9 points, 5.5 rebounds and 5.9 assists as a rookie. He won the Rookie of the Year Award.

In the summer of 2006, LeBron James signed a four-year, $60.4 million rookie-scale extension with the Cavs. During the 2007-08 campaign, The King made $13,041,250. That was the first season LeBron made at least $10 million.

LeBron James won his first MVP award during the 2008-09 season. The Chosen One put up 28.4 points, 7.6 rebounds and 7.2 assists while making $14,410,581. He won his second straight MVP in 2009-10 by averaging 29.7 points, 7.3 rebounds and 8.6 assists. James made $15,779,912 that season.
