Here's what you need to know about the upcoming LEGO Star Wars The Skywalker Saga Special Edition details – Deluxe version and DLCs.
Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has just released a new trailer for LEGO Star Wars The Skywalker Saga, which reminds us of the game's upcoming release on April 5, 2022. The game will be coming out on PC, Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and the Xbox Series X.
LEGO Star Wars The Skywalker Saga Deluxe Edition
Right now, players can pre-order the game's Standard or Deluxe Edition. The Standard Edition gives players access to just the base game, with the pre-order bonus of Day One Access and a Trooper Character Pack – which unlocks playable characters in the game. Apart from the pre-order bonuses, there are a couple of things you can get as a bonus depending on which version of the game you buy:
Digital Standard Edition – Base game, Obi-Wan Kenobi Playable Character Digital Game Purchase Exclusive
Digital Deluxe Edition – Base game, Obi-Wan Kenobi Playable Character Digital Game Purchase Exclusive, 7 Character Packs
Physical Standard Edition – Base game
Physical Deluxe Edition – Base game, Luke Skywalker with Blue Milk Minifigure Physical Game Purchase Exclusive, 7 Character Packs
The 7 Character Packs include the following content:
- The Mandalorian Pack 1
- The Mandalorian Pack 2
- Rogue One: A Star Wars Story
- Classic Characters
- Solo: A Star Wars Story
- Star Wars: The Bad Batch
- Trooper Pack
As far as we could tell, purchasing the character packs as DLC is the only way to unlock these characters in-game, as the films and TV series they're based on aren't depicted in LEGO Star Wars The Skywalker Saga.
So many of you will have seen the leaked footage of Lego Star Wars. I mentioned a bit on the game on our Rumour Mill a few weeks back. These are the screens I mentioned I had received. Feel a bit better posting these now that footage leaked. Really really pretty game pic.twitter.com/h6HOCl1xCM

Obviously, you'll get different bonuses depending on whether you're buying a physical or digital copy of LEGO Star Wars. Both bonuses you could get are sweet, but sadly you can't have it all unless you buy more than one copy. The game also looks very beautiful based on screenshots that leaked to the public, and we can't wait to get our hands on this game. Hopefully, the game manages to be interesting and humorous all throughout the entire nine films it adapts in video game form.
