Every quarterback wants a wide receiver who will not just pin down their passes but also squeeze out extra yards after the catch. When it comes to that, Detroit Lions wide receiver Golden Tate is the best at his position.

As noted by Logan Lamorandier of Lion Lowdown, Tate now holds the most yards after catch (YAC) this season after recording 73 of those during the Lions’ 30-17 win over the Green Bay Packers Monday night.

Tate took advantage of Green Bay’s leaky defense, catching seven passes and turning them into 113 receiving yards, his second 100-yard game this season.

Tate, who signed a five-year contract with the Lions in 2014, currently tops Detroit in receptions (65) and receiving yards (562), though he’s just second to Marvin Jones Jr. in touchdown grabs with two. The eight-year veteran has 5,978 receiving yards and 31 touchdowns in his career.

Overall, Tate is third in the league after the catch, with a pair of running backs in the Washington Redskins' Chris Thompson and Carolina Panther rookie Christian McCaffrey ahead of him in that category.

Tate could overtake McCaffrey (382), or at least add to his season total when the Lions take on the Cleveland Browns, who allowed 287 passing yards in a loss to the Minnesota Vikings in Week 8.
