The Avengers: The Kang Dynasty team just brought on a big name to work on a variant of its script. They enlisted Loki's Michael Waldron.

The Hollywood Reporter confirmed the story as Waldron extended his reach in the MCU.

Destin Daniel Cretton was the director of the new Avengers; however, he exited. Also, Jeff Loveness wrote a draft of Kang, in which Jonathan Majors plays Kang, who is a villain that travels through time and has numerous variants in the multiverse.

However, the issue has been with Majors. It appears he will not work out as the main actor for the part, considering all of his mounting legal troubles. He was charged with domestic violence and assault, according to Screen Rant.

The troubled actor was supposed to be the ‘next big thing' in the MCU. As a time-traveling supervillain, there's a lot of excitement over the possibilities. These even include bringing back characters that have passed away.

But, the question will now more than likely be who will replace Majors.

As for Waldron, he was the creator of Loki and then went on to write Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Additionally, he's the scribe behind Avengers: Secret Wars, which is set to come after Kang Dynasty.

Michael Waldron is a welcome addition to the new Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, considering his experience and knowledge of all things MCU. It'll be interesting to see how they cast the main part since Majors is unlikely to return and if there are many script changes due to it.

Avengers: Kang Dynasty is set to be released on May 1, 2026.
