Lost Ark takes the W as it goes live with one of the most successful game launches on Steam, ever.

The MMORPG by Smilegate RPG and published by Amazon Games broke records as it started its opening weekend in one of the biggest launches in Steam's history. At the time of writing, Lost Ark currently has the most concurrent players at 730,000, almost double the amount that Counter Strike: Global Offensive, the game with the second most concurrent players, has.

Lost Ark already gained traction with the offered Early Access to players, which was gained by purchasing any of the Founder's Packs. After its official release, however, the numbers ballooned even more. With the game's free to play nature, it was easy for players who were at least interested in the title to just download it and give it a whirl. Lost Ark now holds the record for having one of the highest peak players in Steam history at 1.324 million, second only to PUBG: Battlegrounds and beating Counter Strike: Global Offensive.
