Madden 25 Players on PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X will be able to experience the new BOOM tech physics-based tackling system. Overall, there's four major points to note about this new tackling system:
- BOOM Tech operates on physics-based handling, which adds more realism to Hit Sticks, Cut Sticks, trucks, dives, and other moves. The game now takes into consideration your timing, momentum, weight, speed, and strength.
- Furthermore, Hit Sticks are receiving a major overhaul in Madden 25. They'll now use a timing-based mechanic to provide more control depending on your angle of impact and accuracy. Overall, it should help create more realistic movements.
- A new Ball Carrier Balance and Recovery System are also receiving enhancements to improve their realism and authenticity
- Lastly, the newest additions to FieldSENSE mean new Team-specific plays from “some of the NFL's most innovative play-callers”. This means more signature pre and post snap animations to improve the presentation quality.

Additionally, Franchise Mode in Madden 25 is receiving a rebuilt Draft night experience. You can now boo at the virtual Roger Goodell as he announces the first overall pick. Jokes aside, Madden 25 will also let you customize your team and season in the Team Builder website. We're extremely curious to see how advanced the customization will be in this mode.

Ultimate Team will remain relatively the same, but is receiving more customization options to simplify your experience. Furthermore, Madden 25's Ultimate Team mode will include more challenge types including a Solo Seasons mode. There'll even be a new 6-v-6 arcade-like mode available within Ultimate Team.
Lastly, Online H2H will also be in Madden 25, letting you play against others online with your favorite teams.
Overall, that includes everything we learned from the Madden 25 Gameplay Blog so far. With EA College Football 25 also releasing this summer, EA Sports will surely challenge themselves to produce an equally good Madden title. With new commentator groups, and a promising Team Builder website in Franchise, I believe there's potential for Madden 25 to redeem the series slightly.
