ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reports that Orlando Magic forward Al-Farouq Aminu is out indefinitely after suffering a torn meniscus in his right knee.

This is a tough blow for Orlando. They are also currently dealing with the injury to All-Star big man Nikola Vucevic, who is still out with an ankle injury. Likewise, forward Aaron Gordon has struggled to stay healthy through the early goings of the season.

Aminu signed a three-year, $29 million with the Magic this off-season. His numbers have taken a hit this season coming off the bench for Orlando. On the season, Aminu is averaging just 4.3 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 1.0 steal across 21.1 minutes per game.

While he has seen a reduced role from what he had with the Portland Trail Blazers, the American-Nigerian swing man still provide the Magic a much needed defensive wing that can guard multiple positions.

The Magic will have to look elsewhere to fill in the intangibles that he provides for them. Wes Iwundu, Orlando's 2nd round pick in 2017, should be the next man up and see an increased role with Aminu out for the foreseeable future.

Likewise, this will also give Orlando an opportunity to further increase the workload of versatile forward Jonathan Isaac, who is having a breakout campaign for the Magic this year.

Orlando is currently hanging on to the 8th spot through the early goings of the season with a 7-11 record. The Magic entered the season with hopes to take the next step after making the postseason last year. These recent slew of injuries, however, are not helping their case.
