Jerian Grant of the Orlando Magic was inspired by LeBron James' recent initiative. Though the 25-year-old cannot afford to build a school just yet, he emulated the Los Angeles Lakers' deed through his own little way.

Via his Twitter, Grant announced that he's going to give away some school supplies to a local community at Notre Dame:

As seen in the photo, he was assisted by former college teammate at Notre Dame, Pat Connaughton.

Indeed, James' act of opening a school has made ripples all over the NBA. When news about the launch surfaced online, many athletes and non-athletes congratulated him. Now, people like Grant are trying to imitate James by helping their respective communities.

In the coming weeks, perhaps we can expect more NBA players to follow suit. They may not be able to build a school like James, but any form of assistance would definitely be of help.

In an interview with Rachel Nichols of ESPN, James talked about using his voice and the impact he can make:

Well, for me, I have a voice. I have a platform, and I have so many kids and — not only kids but also adults that look for guidance and look for someone to lead them at a time when they feel like their voice isn't powerful. And when you see something that's unjust and you see something that's wrong and you see something that's trying to divide us as a race or as a country, then I feel like my voice can be heard and speak volumes
