Orlando Magic power forward Aaron Gordon is being monitored by a number of teams with trade interest.
However, Orlando has no interest in trading Gordon, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic:
Multiple teams are monitoring Magic forward Aaron Gordon with interest should an opportunity present itself, but the Magic have shown no interest in moving him, sources said. Orlando is 4-7 and working to turn the corner early this season. Gordon signed a four-year, $76 million deal to return to the Magic in 2018.
Orlando drafted Gordon with the fourth overall pick in the 2014 draft. This season, he's averaging 14.0 points, 6.2 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game while shooting 45.6 percent from the field, 31.7 percent from beyond the arc and 73.0 percent from the free-throw line.
The Magic are 4-7 on the season. They made the playoffs last season for the first time since 2012, which was the final season of the Dwight Howard era. Orlando lost to the Toronto Raptors in the first round in five games.
The Magic are looking to make the postseason again in 2019-20. For that to happen, Gordon has to play at a near-All-Star level. The high-flyer has career averages of 12.5 points, 6.2 rebounds and 2.2 assists in 352 games with the Magic entering Friday.
