With the poor record the Orlando Magic has had the past couple of seasons, it's no secret that they will try to add some free agents this summer to bolster their lineup and turn their fortunes around. However, the players they have their eyes set on have been accidentally leaked and are now known across the league.
After the team signed Patricio Garino, a photo of him was posted by someone who is believed to be a close friend of his. What he did not notice is it included a list on the board behind him which has the names of players the team might trade for and free agents who they might want to extend offers to.
Upon closer inspection, it's clear that the team will be looking at all possible scenarios and add the most talented players in free agency regardless of the position they play. However, it appears like their priority will be a versatile forward who can play both the small forward and power forward positions. It is also worth noting that they're interested in acquiring Philadelphia 76ers big man Dario Saric, in exchange for Aaron Gordon.
With still a few months to go before the start of this year's free agency, it will be interesting to see exactly what kind of deals in which the Magic are looking to be major participants. Their situation is definitely something worth monitoring, especially now that their targeted players have been accidentally revealed. For what it's worth, their top brass may have also been aware that the list will be leaked to send a message to other teams that they will make a splash come summertime.
