Man City has heavily stepped up their chase of Aston Villa star Jack Grealish. While the Citizens have been linked to Harry Kane and Grealish all summer long, they're having a very hard time in pursuing Spurs to let go of their prized possession. Grealish however, could potentially be on his way to Man City in the coming days depending on negotiations, per Fabrizio Romano:

Grealish is hungry for a chance to play Champions League football and compete for trophies, but leaving his boyhood club is also a very tough decision. Villa has offered their talisman a brand new deal, but he has yet to accept. Man City is clearly realizing that Kane's price tag likely remains a pipe dream, especially with Tottenham making it very clear they don't want to lose the England star.

Jack Grealish won't be cheap by any means, but it does seem like he is emerging as their number one target right now. The 25-year-old is coming off another impressive campaign for Villa, bagging seven goals and supplying 12 assists across all competitions. He also starred for the Three Lions at Euro 2020, putting his creativity and sheer talent on full display on the big stage.

If he does join Man City, it would give Pep Guardiola another extremely talented attacking-minded player who is versatile in the final third. It will be interesting to see how this situation shapes up in the next few days but whether Grealish joins City at this moment in time or not, the future is bright as can be for the winger.
