Man City will be looking to make some changes this summer in order to prevent another Champions League collapse. The one area they're likely to improve is up top, with Erling Haaland expected to take his talents to the Etihad and give Pep Guardiola a true No. 9.

However, it appears they also have their eyes set on a player from the red side of Manchester. Man City is keen on signing Man United midfielder Paul Pogba on a free transfer and he's reportedly interested in making the switch as well, according to the Guardian.

Pogba fell out of favor at Old Trafford this term due to injuries and inconsistencies. He made just 20 Premier League appearances and hasn't played since April 19th when the Frenchman suffered a calf injury. As the Guardian notes, Pogba wants to learn from Guardiola and the Spaniard apparently believes he can flourish in a deep-lying midfield role with Man City.

The Sky Blues can't actually approach Pogba until the campaign ends, but they're reportedly willing to offer him a four-year contract, although his wages would take a hit. City is set to lose long-time midfielder Fernandinho in the coming months, which means they could use more depth in the middle of the park.

Despite Pogba's struggles at United, it's rare a player of his stature is available for free. PSG and Real Madrid have also shown interest in the France international.
