Cristiano Ronaldo's Manchester United co-star and compatriot Bruno Fernandes has divulged one thing he's terrible at, and it has nothing to do with soccer.

Throughout his stellar career, Cristiano Ronaldo has never let any adversity slow him down. At 36, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner is still bagging goals and he currently has six for Manchester United across all competitions.

However, according to Ronaldo’s Manchester United and Portugal teammate Bruno Fernandes, there is something that he’s not really good at—speaking his native language Portuguese.

Like in other countries, there are also different dialects in Portugal. And as per Fernandes, the dialect used in Ronaldo’s hometown “Madeira” is certainly a problematic one.

“Some words in Portugal, if you ask Cristiano [Ronaldo] he will say me and Diogo [Jota] we speak in a different way to him,” Fernandes recently said on KFC UK and Ireland’s YouTube series Wingmen.

“[Ronaldo’s] His original way is one of the worst Portuguese way,” he continued. “Cristiano, from Madeira, oh my god, you swear Portuguese people cannot understand what they say.”

Whether Fernandes is telling the truth or not, the apparent language barrier seems to have not been a problem for Ronaldo as he is loved by millions of people from around the world.

Manchester United is set to take on its English Premier League rival Liverpool. The club will be looking to end its winning drought in the English top flight. Once again, many are expecting to see Ronaldo continue where he left off at Atalanta where he hit the late heroic for the Red Devils.
