Despite the club's recent disastrous run, Manchester United is not firing Ole Gunnar Solskjaer yet.

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is currently under-fire following the team's humiliating losses to Liverpool, Leicester City and Manchester City.

Many are convinced that Solskjaer's reign as Manchester United boss is already numbered but it seems like the club will be sticking with him at least until the end of the current season, per Manchester Evening News.

According to the report, the Red Devils “have privately decided” to replace Solskjaer but it is yet to be determined when the club will greenlight his departure as the still “mull over an arrival time for a replacement.”

Revealing the club's real stance on the link-up with Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers, the report said that “a senior club source has indicated” Solskjaer could still spearhead Manchester United until the current campaign ends.

Rodgers is still tied up with Leicester until June 2023 and should Manchester United decides to pursue him, the club would have to agree on a fee with the Foxes for his release, and would also need to “pay compensation” to Solskjaer for his untimely dismissal, the report added.

Until then, Solskjaer remains unfazed as he had earlier insisted that he is focused on moving on.

“For us, it's all about Watford [Manchester United's next game],” the manager said via MEN. “We have to come out against Watford like a proper hurt animal and get back to what we know we can be. That's the only way to approach this and attack the situation.”

Manchester United will be facing Watford after the international break.
