A Cristiano Ronaldo-less Manchester United side fell short once again on Saturday after conceding two second-half goals to settle for a 2-2 draw with Aston Villa, who were inspired by brand-new signing Philippe Coutinho.

The Red Devils quickly got on the scoresheet as Bruno Fernandes fired in a shot from distance that trickled through the legs of Villa keeper Emiliano Martinez then the Portuguese international followed that up with another goal early in the second period.

Unfortunately, Manchester United absolutely crumbled once Coutinho came on for his club debut in the 68th minute as he assisted Jacob Ramsey and put away the equalizer just minutes after.

With the stalemate, Ralf Rangnick's side now sits in seventh spot in the table and a whole 24 points off league leaders Manchester City. By no surprise, Manchester United fans on Twitter were absolutely furious following the dismal result.

Here are some of the reactions:

Manchester United has a fanbase that spreads across the entire world and evidently, it was a disappointing day for all of their supporters. The absence of Cristiano didn't help either, who has missed the last two fixtures now due to a hip flexor injury.

The Red Devils are back at it on Wednesday against Brentford, followed by another tough Premier League clash with West Ham next weekend.
