Not everyone is a fan of their doppelgänger. Some people feel insulted when they are told they look like someone. Will Zalatoris is not one of those people.

Zalatoris had an impressive Masters Tournament debut, but he has shown that he is also a good sport outside the course, as he went all-in with the Happy Gilmore caddy comparison.

Zalatoris engraved in one of his wedges the phrase, “MR. GILMORE IM YOUR CADDY.” This was the speaking line of the caddy in Happy Gilmore. In the scene, the inexperienced and titular Happy Gilmore thought that the caddy was stealing his treasured golf clubs. This led Gilmore to shove the caddy, which in turn led to the caddy saying the engraved line.

If the 24-year old Zalatoris were not so young, maybe it would have been plausible that he indeed played the caddy in the movie, which was released way back in 1996.

There are some steps moving forward that Zalatoris can hope for, due to the resemblance. First, it would be interesting if they can track down the actor who portrayed the caddy and have a picture of him.

Next, maybe the stars can align so he can have a round of golf with comedian Adam Sandler, who played Gilmore. Zalatoris did say in his tweet that he was willing to be a caddy for Gilmore. Maybe Zalatoris can incorporate Gilmore's hockey-style swings into his game?

Zalatoris has a very bright future ahead of him. He is young, gifted, and it is safe to say that his game will only get better.
