The Dallas Mavericks will complete a sign-and-trade with the Memphis Grizzlies to acquire four-year NBA veteran Delon Wright, a point guard who last played for the Grizzlies.

In return, the Mavs are sending Memphis two second-round picks, per Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

The deal is worth $29 million over three years:

Wright spent the 2018-19 NBA season playing for the eventual champion Toronto Raptors and Grizzlies. He was traded to Grind City alongside C.J. Miles, Jonas Valanciunas, and a second-round pick in the deal that netted Toronto Spanish center Marc Gasol.

Prior to his half-year stint in Memphis, Wright was a bench player for the Raptors. The 27-year-old guard has averaged 7.4 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 2.7 assists in 19.2 minutes per game and 198 career appearances while shooting 44.5% from the field, 33.2% from 3-point range, and 79.6% from the free-throw line.

In a busy offseason for Dallas, the Mavs also re-signed rehabilitating big man Kristaps Porzingis to a five-year max contract (Porzingis was acquired in a trade with the New York Knicks in January 2019), re-signed Maxi Kleber, brought back guard Seth Curry, re-signed Dorian Finney-Smith, and extended big man Dwight Powell.

Mark Cuban's Mavs team is looking to build momentum off the heels of Luka Doncic's Rookie of the Year win by pairing Doncic and Porzingis with complementary talent to elevate the two European's respective games. Dallas missed out on Danny Green, who signed with the Los Angeles Lakers, but getting Delon Wright is a nice rebound.
