Mavs fan puts Luka Doncic’s chewed gum on eBay

Mavs, Luka Doncic

Dallas Mavericks rookie sensation Luka Doncic has been a superlative and enigmatic player all season long, completely taking the league by storm and already looking like the league’s next superstar.

But chew on this: a fan is selling a game-used piece of gum chewed by Doncic in a late-January game against the Toronto Raptors.

The gum, which comes in a glass case–as well as the ticket stub from the game and a Doncic poster–has been placed with a starting bid of a whopping $10,000 on eBay.

Most of the hype surrounding Doncic is due to his play on the court. The youngest Euroleague MVP in history is averaging 20.7 points, 7.2 boards and 5.6 assists while making for a constant highlight reel with an assortment of stepback and rainbow jumpers.

Doncic already has an affinity for clutch moments as well, shooting better than 50 percent in the last five minutes of games and 57.1 percent in the last three minutes of games, according to

Not bad for the almost 20-year-old from Slovenia.

Doncic was one of the most hyped European prospects forever, and the Mavericks were not about to miss out on the next big thing.

Dallas traded up with the Atlanta Hawks to draft the youngster, and this season appropriately marks a passing of the torch from Mavs legend Dirk Nowitzki (in his last season) to Doncic.

Despite missing out on an All-Star game selection, Doncic was still in Charlotte to participate in the Skills Challenge, where he fell to Trae Young in the semifinals.
