After spending his first four seasons in the NBA with the Golden State Warriors, Harrison Barnes was not offered a contract extension by the Dubs last summer as they needed to make room for the signing of Kevin Durant. That resulted to Barnes signing a four-year, $94 million deal with the Mavericks, calling Dallas his new home.

The 25-year-old North Carolina product recently held a Twitter Q&A during a long drive in New York City. He was asked by his followers a number of questions varying from his favorite artists, to where he goes to church. However, what caught the attention of many was when he admitted that he still has love for the Bay Area, despite living and playing for Dallas now.

It's very understandable why Harrison Barnes still thinks highly of Oakland, as his former team and its fans helped him become the professional that he is now. He also had a lot of success during his stint there, being an integral part of their championship run in 2015.

Since signing with the Mavs, he has been welcomed with open arms by the city and their residents. Barnes is coming off his best season so far as a pro, and he will continue to be a key player for his team for at least the next three years. If he further improves his game, he will be expected to receive more love from Dallas and may even consider the city as more than just the place where he needs to live in as he represents their team.
