The Dallas Mavericks took care of business in Game 4 at home and will live to see another day. The odds are undeniably stacked against them, but recent comments from Mavs head coach Jason Kidd will excite Dallas fans.

Kidd explained how the Mavs exposed the Warriors' weakness in Game 4.

“They're going to play zone for the majority of the game, so that is going to present a problem for them in the sense of giving up threes. And we were able to capitalize on that tonight.”

In all reality, Dallas has had open shots seemingly all series long. Jalen Brunson even mentioned those open looks to the “Inside the NBA” crew following Game 4.

The Mavs will have a chance to make a comeback in this series if they can keep knocking down open looks.

Jason Kidd also explained what he saw from his players in Game 4 as compared to the first 3 games.

“I thought the guys came out no different than Game 3 and Game 2 in the sense of executing and playing at a high level,” Kidd said.  “Defensively, being able to rebound the ball, have 30 assists, that means were making shots.”

Kidd and the Mavs have a game plan they believe works. Dallas executed their strategy in Tuesday's game which ultimately led to the victory.

So can the Mavs realistically make a comeback?

It seems improbable. Most experts will predict Golden State to close things out in Game 5. But Dallas understands how to defeat the Warriors. But understanding and executing are two different things.

The Mavs can upset the odds and shock the world if they continue to execute Jason Kidd's plan.
